A woman from Georgia has initiated a lawsuit against Universal Orlando, claiming her 9-year-old son experienced permanent injuries while riding the Stardust Racers roller coaster in October 2025.
Jennifer Lundy states that the injuries occurred on October 13, one month following the death of another patron, Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, who was fatally injured after riding the coaster in September. The lawsuit, which Lundy filed on August 17 in Orange County and was later moved to federal court, cites negligence on the part of Universal and includes Mack Rides, the ride’s manufacturer, as a co-defendant. Lundy alleges her son lost consciousness during the ride, resulting in severe blunt force trauma to his head and face, as well as orthopedic and spinal injuries.
