As part of the newly launched Ephemera Eternal exhibition at Framework, which showcases the artistry of photographer Adam Goldman and versatile creator Glenn Richey, a distinctive workshop focusing on ‘computational zines’ will be held. Richey, pursuing a Ph.D. in Digital Humanities and teaching as an adjunct at UCF, brings rich experience from the Orlando underground scene, previously involved with various creative initiatives.
Attendees will utilize Richey’s online zine creation tool, Ziner, to produce their own original pamphlets drawn from a wealth of images and articles, including content about DIY subcultures and gentrification from Orlando Weekly. At the end of the session, participants will take home a tangible zine that isn’t dependent on internet connectivity.
The workshop is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Friday, October 16, at Framework Craft Coffee House, located at 1201 N. Mills Ave. This event is free to attend.
