Sponsored by the New Smyrna Beach Area Visitors Bureau, October brings a unique urge to spend time at the beach, especially as the weather cools down in Orlando. With the arrival of this crisp air, many find themselves suggesting a beach getaway. If this sounds familiar, consider heading east.
Throughout the month of October, Coastal Catch Restaurant Month takes place in New Smyrna Beach, showcasing ten local eateries that are offering three-course prix fixe menus priced at either $39 or $59. There are no complicated entrance requirements—just good food.
Participating restaurants include:
– Norwood’s Restaurant & Treehouse Bar
– Flagler Tavern
– SoNapa Grille
– Outriggers Tiki Bar & Grille
– Third Wave Cafe & Wine Bar
– Ciao Bella NSB
– Riverpark Terrace
– River Deck Tiki Bar & Restaurant
– The Grille at Riverview
– Chases on the Beach
The menus feature the local seafood and coastal favorites, with some inventive dishes created by the chefs for this event. Menus are available in advance, allowing patrons to review all options and select their preferred dining spot beforehand.
To enhance the experience, a GPS-enabled Coastal Catch Trail is available, helping diners map out their visits to the various participating establishments, preventing aimless searching for parking in the Flagler Avenue area. A suggested strategy is to enjoy an early dinner by the water, followed by a leisurely stroll and then a sweet treat or after-dinner drink at a second location. With prix fixe dining, the choice-making is simplified.
New Smyrna Beach is conveniently located just over an hour from downtown Orlando via I-4 to SR-44, making it easy to turn a Saturday visit into a weekend escape once visitors find themselves at the beach in the evening, considering an overnight stay. Numerous accommodations are situated close to the restaurants.
Coastal Catch runs from October 1 to October 31. For menus, the trail map, and a full list of restaurants, visit NSBCoastalCatch.com.
