A six-week undercover enforcement effort aimed at bars and nightclubs in downtown Orlando has allegedly uncovered illegal drug sales and violations related to the city’s after-midnight alcohol sales permits, as reported by the Orlando Police Department. The operation, conducted by the Drug Enforcement Division of the Orlando Police Department in conjunction with the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigations, resulted in the arrest of 35 individuals on various drug-related charges.

Fourteen individuals were specifically arrested for allegedly selling drugs to undercover officers at establishments including Warped Pour, Elixir, and Fixtion. The police noted that during this period, drugs and illegal firearms were also confiscated in the entertainment area, leading to further arrests. Additionally, 19 permit violations related to the after-midnight alcohol sales were documented at nine businesses, including inadequate wand searches and improper ID checks. A hearing regarding these matters could potentially lead to permit suspensions or revocations for the implicated venues.
