Zaza’s New Flagship Restaurant Is Now Open in SoDo

Zaza Cuban Comfort Food has officially opened its new flagship restaurant in SoDo, taking over the previous Brick & Fire Pizza location at 1621 S. Orange Avenue. This space, measuring approximately 2,500 square feet, aims to deliver more than Zaza’s other outlets, featuring a beer and wine bar, options for community events, and extended operating hours tailored to accommodate local hospital staff.

Misty Heath, executive director of SoDo Main Street District, highlighted the restaurant’s contribution to the area, describing it as “a larger space, new offerings, and a place where people can gather and spend time together.” Customers can enjoy Zaza’s traditional Cuban menu, which includes selections such as ropa vieja, lechon asado, and vaca frita. A grand opening celebration is set for Saturday, Oct. 10, with the first 25 attendees receiving commemorative coffee mugs and a $1,000 donation to The Lifeboat Project planned as part of the event.
