Tako Cheena to Return to Original Location in Mills 50

Tako Cheena Is Moving Back to Its Original Mills 50 Home

Tako Cheena is set to return to its roots in the Mills 50 district. The popular restaurant announced on Thursday that it will be leaving its current address at 948 N. Mills Avenue, situated across from Wally’s Tavern, and will reopen at its original storefront located a short distance away at 932 N. Mills Avenue.

Established in 2011 by chef Pom Moongauklang, known for her work with Pom Pom’s Teahouse & Sandwicheria, Tako Cheena has been famous for its unique fusion of Asian and Latin cuisines. After occupying the previous site of Forbidden City starting in 2019, Tako Cheena’s first location transitioned into Pop’s Pizzeria, a sister concept that has since shut down. Planning for the move back to its original site began earlier this year, as reported in June by What Now Orlando. Though an official opening date is yet to be announced, the restaurant intends to offer lunch, dinner, and late-night dining options.
